I have a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited V6 with 47K and the non-load leveling shocks.
I just noticed this morning there is a puddle of oil under the left rear shock, so I know it needs replacement.
I have MaxCare, but from looking at my paperwork, it appears rear shocks are not covered.

I have a few questions:
1) Has anyone had this repair covered under Maxcare?
1a) If it was covered, did they offer to replace in pairs and cover under warranty (it seems they always say to replace in pairs)?
2) This OEM parts didn't last very long and if they won't cover it, I will likely go somewhere else and get KYB or Bilstein installed. How do the OEM parts compare with some of the aftermarket brands?
3) Specifically between KYB and Bilstein, is the Bilstein the best choice (considering it is just the standard suspension)?
I plan on keeping the Jeep for awhile and I want an OEM like ride (no lift or anything like that). Thanks in advance for any help.
