Angry 2012 Overland Rims Peeling/Turning Black

2 of my 4 wheels are looking bad. 2 of the Spokes on one rim are black. I don't understand only why parts of the wheel. I am thinking the coating that protects it is gone. I hardly think this is brake dust as it will not wash off or scrub off its almost stained or like a film. Anyone have this issue or know what to do?

i had peeling wheels on a 05, 300c and also on my 08 JGC limited, Chrysler replaced all wheels but it was still on the 3/36 warranty...as long as there was no curb rash.

Are they are refurbished by chance? If not they might carry the same warranty as the body paint??? Just guessing but it might be worth a shot

Re: 2012 Overland Rims Peeling/Turning Black

the wheels they gave me were in a brand new box from Mopar, i just told them that i didn't order wheels with pitting on them. on my 08 JGC they started pitting again but i was out of warranty...i think the manufacturer of the wheels took a beating on them as i googled problems with both vehicles and there were lots of people getting new wheels. try other dealers if they turn you down.

Re: 2012 Overland Rims Peeling/Turning Black

The dealership says they can Refinish them for 100$ per rim. My friend says he knows someone who can powder coat them for 80$ a rim so now im thinking what i want to do. I may just pay 200 and get these 2 fixed but i worry the other 2 will need to be refinished sometime. Sucks I am at 50K miles almost if i was under 35K then i would still have my warranty cover it.
