2014 Laredo sits lower than other models?

Hey guys. This has been something that has shown itself a few times. At school I parked next to a 2012 Laredo X owned by a guy on our baseball team. His mirrors say higher than mine, and it seemed like his vehicle just had an overall higher stance. He told me it was stock besides the 20 inch chrome MOPAR wheels he put on.

The other day I was next to a Summit (I think it was a 2015 because the paint looked stunning..anway..)

I recognize some vehicles have the air suspension, but during normal driving conditions I wouldn't imagine someone would be in an off-road selected setting, although I wouldn't put it past myself haha.

But it still doesn't explain the difference I see between my vehicles and other non modded Wk2's with a non air suspension. At first I thought it may be the wheels, but from my understanding the wheel size wouldn't affect ride height because all wheel/tire combinations (factory) should keep the ride height the same. Laredo X owner commented that he kept stock tire size recommended for 20' wheels because his dealer made it a big to-do with the speedometer.

Am I hallucinating? The Mirrors/body were definitely higher on his and others, and this was with brand new tires on my 2014 Laredo E (17' stock wheels).

Here's the specs. You can take some measurements and see if something is off. Is your tire pressure at spec?

Inspect your shocks. They might be bent, causing your front end to sit lower.

Re: 2014 Laredo sits lower than other models?

when I had my '12 Hemi (before leveling kit) I felt that mine sat higher (slightly) than the 14s. A few posts later, it actually seemed like mine sat lower. I wish I had my old stock measurements. Ive already put bigger tires on my 15 and considering leveling it as well so Im not of much help to you.

as far as the ones with air suspension go, you can defeat park/exit mode and have it sit wherever you last had it air'd too when you park.

2014 Laredo sits lower than other models?

So I figured out what my problem was a while back. And it really was my problem.. I was going purely by where the side mirrors were. I realized I was always comparing a passenger sideview mirror to a driver's side mirror. Reminds me of when I thought my eyeballs represented the top of my skull as a kid.
