Actually that would be fantastic! I tried looking them up on mopar.com but the HA parts don't come up. I know it's some serious coin but I'd be willing to upgrade my Summit with HA parts if the damping is substantially better.

Cool. Looks like the rear shocks are the same but the front struts are what make the HA special. I called my Jeep dealers parts department and they say they need the vin of a High Altitude V8 to make sure they order the right parts.

Put two hundred miles on the Scorpions. Much better than the Forteras in every respect. Quieter too.

But RowanWuff is right. My ride still needs better dampening. I'm going to test drive an HA and if it's really a lot better damped then I'm going to upgrade my front struts.

Believe it or not I never actually test drove a WK2 before buying my HA, however in testing it on the curvy switchback roads of the mountains here I was very impressed by the nimbleness of such a heavy vehicle even with the OEM forteras.

You may want to also upgrade your sway bar to the SRT one or a better aftermarket one.

Re: 2015 WK2 Summit Poor damping

Test drove a 2015 summit with 12k km and did feel a bit more balloon effect compared to the overland but nothing that would deter me from it. The swede roof and standard HK is what drives me to it. I am trying to track down a HA to test this too and see how that drives compared to the summit. I was very exited to try the HK sound system, since the regular system did not impress my golden ears but when I cranked it up I was expecting allot more to be honest. Curious if any one feels the HK is not that impressive

The 2016s have better tires, suspension weight reduction and adjustable electric steering good chace they will have a noticably different feel from the 2015s so they could be worth a test drive also..

Summit and Overland should ride exactly the same so I'm not sure what you were feeling.

Did you try adjusting the EQ on the sound system?

Re: 2015 WK2 Summit Poor damping

I found the VIN of a 2015 HA V8 and called a Jeep dealer. They compared the suspension components between my summit and that HA. The only difference was the rear shocks. The HA used part number 68234050AB. The said the front struts were identical. Is the "Performance Dampening" suspension on the HA only available on the V6?

Re: 2015 WK2 Summit Poor damping

No, the HA has the same suspension with 3.6, 5.7 and 3.0 unless it's a 4x2. Then it would not have air suspension.

Those shocks are only $68 each. So the High Altitude "European sport-tuned suspension" equates to just two $68 dollar shocks?
