According to WK2Jeeps TPMS page the sensors have new part numbers for 2016 and I am having issues getting a set of 2016 Grand Cherokee sensors paired on my 2015. I went to discount tire and their scanner wont even recognize the sensors yet. He says it could be because their computers haven't been updated yet from the manufacturer for that newer sensor. He said they get updates every 6mo or so. I know Jeep sensors usually pair automatically, but these will not.
Has anyone out there successfully paired a set of 2016 sensors on a 2015 or earlier? Does the dealership have the capability of doing this? They are all 444 mhz sensors.
I have a 2016 GC, from what the dealership told me. The 2015 TPMS sensors are not compatible with with my 2016. Not sure if the same is true the other way around. Anyhow here is what the 2016 sensors look like.

Not to be that guy but does @jeepcares do anything and or have they replied? All of the posts I seen from them on the various topics is to help set up an appointment. Often confused as I would think this is an easy thing for one to do on their own. Honest question no negative intention intended.
Just wanted to update this thread for anyone in the future. 2016 TPMS sensors are officially NOT compatible with earlier models. I dealt with the dealership and Discount Tire on multiple occasions. The dealership even updated the computer software in their scanner tool just to be sure and it is not possible to pair a 2016 TPMS sensor to a 2015 or earlier vehicle. As shown above the sensors look different as well.
The good news is that you can get a set of 4 brand new OEM 2015 or earlier sensors on ebay shipped for like 32 bucks...cant beat that.
