22" wheels question just to be sure

About to order a set of 22x10 SRT reps in gloss black and put 305/40r22 tires on them. This setup will go on my HA and I just want to make sure that other then a stiffer ride I'm not going to experience any other issues (rubbing, etc) seems a lot of people go with a 35 profile tire when they do 22" wheels but there aren't a lot of choices out there and their a lot more $$$ plus I'd like to have a little more rubber between me and the road. Thanks to anyone that can chime in and let me know if this setup should be trouble free or not.

You shouldn't run into any problems with that setup. Btw where are you getting your 22x10s from?? Only place I can find selling them is factory reproductions and they're out of stock for 6-8 weeks on the gloss black :/

I have the AAR links which drop the whole thing about 1.5", you think I'm going to run with the above setup and the links ?

Hmmmm, im starting to think maybe a 20x10 wheel is the better route, might be a little less visually pleasing but a lot more tire options and a better ride on the less then stellar roads out here

Re: 22" wheels question just to be sure

How will 305/35/22 be? I'm thinking about getting those on 22x10s but I'm lowered 1" all around on links and I want to lower the rear about another half inch

Re: 22" wheels question just to be sure

I wouldn't do 305/40/22. I just installed some on my 22x10.5 and it looks way too beafy; too meaty; doesn't rub in any of the settings turning or going over bumps but I'm concerned about when i install the links. I'd do 305/35 or 285/35 if I were to do it again for sure. ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1474205802.597149.jpg

ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1474205819.621231.jpg I did 305/40. I don't recommend it.

Re: 22" wheels question just to be sure

We are running 285/35 on ours. Next we would run 305s.
