245/70r16 for 2011 wk2?

Found a local deal on some wheels with 245/70r16 with winter tires. I have a 2011 wk2 with 20's right now. Would 16's even be OK with this?

Which engine? Brake size may be an issue. The smallest diameter wheel that I have seen were no smaller than 18's. I can't swear to it though. Hopefully one of the guru's will weigh in that aren't just guessing like I am. You should find out for sure before you pull the trigger.

It's a 3.6 v6. It is the Laredo x 70th anniversary edition. I believe it has the smaller brakes that can fit the 17's no problem.

I could be wrong, but I cannot remember anyone stating they had ever installed 16" wheels on a JGC. 17" is the smallest and that's limited to the Laredo and other trims that don't have HD brakes. And aside from clearing the brakes, they also have to be the correct bolt pattern. You'd be well served to "try before you buy" for this one!

Yeah that's what I was thinking that too, only seen as small as 17's on the wk2

Aside from probably not fitting over the brakes, they are also almost a whole inch smaller in OD - I don't think that'd be a very good look personally. If you are looking for a decent winter set, check out wrangler take offs. I got a set of 5 255/70-18 for $300 on craigslist a while back. They are 32.1" OD, ~1.5" bigger in OD, but they fit without issue and even fit in the spare well with the cubbies out.
