265/65/18 tires anyone?

anyone put this size tires on your wk2? I'm thinking about getting some in this size and wondering if there's any rubbing.

Re: 265/65/18 tires anyone?

I've got 275/65/18 on my WK2 with no rubbing at all. (Firestone A/Ts)

Pics will be coming soon enough after the new wheels go on.

Re: 265/65/18 tires anyone?

oh nice.. would love to see them. I figure 265 as not to change the width of the tires to help prevent rubbing, but if we can fit a little bit wider, that would be most excellent!

The 275/65/18 are a littler over 32". Which suspension does your jeep have? Quadra-lift or the standard springs?

Re: 265/65/18 tires anyone?

put on some Firestone Destination A/T 265/65/18s today. Overall diameter is about 1" wider, making the vehicle sit about half an inch higher. I do notice the extra height when hopping in and out. The picture doesn't do it any justice, but it looks much better with the little bit taller wheel and more aggressive tread.

the1jake how long did it take to do the Rock Rails install? Did you do it yourself? Also where is a good place to purchase them?

Re: 265/65/18 tires anyone?

Had the dealer install. They charged me two hours labor (from the original estimate) but it took them much longer. (probably because this was the first install of rock rails that the dealer had done on this vehicle) The entire install for the vehicle was approx. 6 hours. (including the skid plates and swapping out the wheels)

The dealer gave me 15% off list price for the rails, wheels and skid plates. I thought about doing it myself but it was a more involved process than just throwing on some tube steps since the rails bolt through the frame.

Re: 265/65/18 tires anyone?

Nice Grands.

Needs more info about ride quality, any rubbing, turing, offroading, different suspension mods?

How does it drive with the taller/bigger tires? More body roll?
