Re: 275/55 20 All Terrain Tire Thread

Hey guys new to the forums! I have an overland and thinking of putting at3 or zeons 275/55 20's on aswell.

Just wondering.... because the speedo will be out. Is there any way to get the speedo calibrated on these cars?

cheers jesse

Re: 275/55 20 All Terrain Tire Thread

Is anyone running the Dynapro ATM RF-10 in this size? Trying to compare this to the Goodyear Silent Armor. Discount tire salesmen are trying to convince me the Hankook is a better tire all around for a little bit cheaper cost. I'm also leaning that way due to cost and looks, but wanted to ask the question here to see if anyone has them on thier QL WK2.

Thanks!

Re: 275/55 20 All Terrain Tire Thread

I have a friend who has run them on his landcruiser for 3 months now and says nothing but positives about them. Good in the wet, not too noisy and the price is great.
He has done some light offroading and they went quite well. If I was you I'd take the leap and try them

Re: 275/55 20 All Terrain Tire Thread

Thanks for the info. I've got some tread left on the Forterra's so I'm going to wait a few weeks, but I definately want to get something that performs and looks better by the time winter comes around.

Wow, don't know how I missed this. Anyway, the AT3's have been great. They are quiet on the highway and the ride is still smooth. Off road, they also performed great. I took them through rocky dry trails in Utah and through stormy wet weather on sharp rocks in the San Juans without a single issue. I posted a road trip review in the showoff forum that may show a glimpse into where I drove.

I have the same question, I love the look of the bigger and more aggressive tire, as well as better winter performance. But I do a fair share of highway driving, and in all actuality, we don't get that much snow. Just wondering if the speedo change and highway noise are worth changing tire sizes.

Is your WK2 equipped with QL? My main concern is the fitting of a 275/55/20 on a QL WK2.

Yes, I still have QL. I say "still" because I answered you the first time. LOL!

Kidding aside, I've had absolutely no issues with this size AT3 in any setting. I rotate my own tires and have done so twice and there is nothing to indicate that there has been any rubbing at all. As a matter of fact, I just rotated last night because we are going out of town for the weekend. Nothing on the inside to suggest any rubbing.

I suppose that includes the Park mode too.

Anyway, would you consider the fitting to be very tight? I've seen pictures of others who claim to be no rubbing with 275/55 20 tires but the closeness (you can't even squeeze a finger through the space) to the bolts on the wheel strut (or other parts of the suspension assembly) just make me cringe.

Hey Dollar can you post some pics of the coopers mounted on the jeep? Interested in new tires.

Check my thread in the member showoff section. I think it's titled Road Trip. There are quite a few pics in there.

Edit: found out how to link. Check next post.
