Re: 275/55/20 rubbing inner fender on the rear

I measured the closest distance to where the fender liner meets the tire and it looks to be about 3" in both the rear inner and the front fender. So if I go with the 275/55/20 it should move this distance in about 3/4" since the OD is 1 1/2" larger. So I should still have about 2" clearance. Does that sound right or am I missing something?

I haven't measured the numbers but I think I have more than 2 inches of Clarence in the front which is lower than the back

Re: 275/55/20 rubbing inner fender on the rear

I think it depends on the year and the liner. Some are mis-formed. 2011-2012 seem to have no issues. Some 2013 have the issue. I would not worry about it. Many fixes to it, or the dealer will replace.

Thanks, do you think the dealer will give you a hardtime if you show up with the 275s on the jeep?

The dealer I bought it from YES. However a good dealer no. Could they give us a hard time for running bigger tires than recommended yes. Anything other than stock they can complain about.

Re: 275/55/20 rubbing inner fender on the rear

All your fitment measurements can be answered here. Go to RimsnTires. Com punch in your figures and tells you everything you need to know. Offset, Diameter, wheel space, distances in and out etc. Very useful tool. Hope this helps.

Re: 275/55/20 rubbing inner fender on the rear

Anymore pics of these from anyone? Really like the look of the wider tire.. 285/50/20 can anyone confirm they have installed this size on a quadra lift? That it is ok in park, highway, and in trail offroad environments with out rubbing?
