275/55/20 vs 275/65/18

Hi All,

I've been searching though the forums and know both will fit my 2011 WK2 Overland Hemi.

I currently have 18" Sahara wheels with 265/65/18 Bridgestone Dueler AT RH-S shoes on the corners. The Previous set of shoes was the 255/70/18 Dueler AT's that were mounted on the Sahara rims when I picked them up.

I like the 255/70 for the smoother ride over the 265/65 set and have thinking about a change prior to winter.

I am thinking of changing to the larger and wider set in either the 18" or 20" wheels. I still have the OEM 20" wheels and trying to decide which would be a better fit on the WK2 in the 32"x10.83" shoe.

The tires I am looking at are either the Cooper Discoverer AT/W or the Nokian Rotiiva AT. I may look at others as well but trying to decide what would fit best. Vehicle is mostly highway commuting year round in NH/MA, with some light off roading, would love more off road stuff but hard to find nice trails.

To help I need the info on the rims themselves, backspacing, offset, etc... on the 2010 18" Sahara Rims and the 2011 20" WK2 Overland rims.

Anyone have any info?

I've read many different backspacing number from 5" to 6.5" on the Sahara rims and 6" on the Overland rims. Can't find OEM info though.

Thanks for the help and insight.

Re: 275/55/20 vs 275/65/18

Overland rims in 20 with 275/55/20 will fit fine, they are the same diameter as the 275/65/18. The 18 will have a nicer ride.
