Re: 275/65/18 Duratracs on Mopar Wheels!

So i finally got my 275/65/18 duratracs and the pro comp 7036 rims and it rubs in the front like crazy. I tried every setting and OR2 is the only one i can drive with out it rubbing in the front. Has anyone experienced this?

Re: 275/65/18 Duratracs on Mopar Wheels!

Pulling the trigger these this week. Do I really need to get the spare too? We haven't used the existing spare at all so I'm not even clear if it is full size on our 2012 WK2. I've seen the Goodyear Rugged Terrain and a Bridgestone tire mentioned for the spare. Is there a preference and why? Thanks to all who've tested and commented on this---it's going to look sweet!

Re: 275/65/18 Duratracs on Mopar Wheels!

Hi all, first time poster, long time lurker. I am putting a set of tires on my 11 WK2 this weekend. I've read/researched everywhere, and I am leaning towards the General Grabber AT2 tires in a 275 65/18 on the stock wheel. I just want to make sure no rubbing as the tire shop has pretty much said once they're ordered, they're mine. Stock GC no lift no spacers or anything. Any help is much appreciated!

With stock wheels and offset, you should be fine. Each tire has a different true overall diameter even though they're listed as the same size. So you may want to see the true OD of the Grabbers compared to the Duratracs. If they're the same size or smaller you will be fine, as mine fits. If they're larger than it won't fit.

IMO, yes you should always have a spare that matches the overall diameter of your tires. Chances are you probably won't ever need it but do you really want to put yourself in a situation where you need a spare and don't have one that can get you safely home? In a pinch, an undersized tire will allow you to limp home but I wouldn't want to be far from home in that situation. For me, it's a small price to pay for some peace of mind.

Stock tire pressure. I have between 6 and 7 thousand miles on this setup. So far so good.

36 Cold on all 4's? I'm considering doing that....What's your avg. MPG?

I've been running on 32 cold the last 3 weeks after i swapped my wheels and tires, and my MPG on mostly highway is horrible..16 MPG... I figured when I installed my lift kit this week and got an alignment I would tell them to up it to 36ish...
