275/65/18 LTX M/S2 on stock 18, no QL?

Hey guys...

2011 Limited, no QL, stock 18 inch wheels.

I'm looking to upgrade the Latitudes to the LTX M/S2s. I was wondering if anyone knows if there would be fitment issues if I go up a size in width and height to 275/65/18. I see some of you guys with that size but it looks like everyone has QL, and I don't.

I feel like this truck needs a slightly wider/taller tire than the stock 265/65/18.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

I can't answer your question, but the stock size should be 265/60/18. And that size is available in LTX M/S 2 as I have them on.

Yeah, familiar with the stock size. Just wanted to go up a little bit. I think the truck looks a little goofy with the stock-sized tires.

Re: 275/65/18 LTX M/S2 on stock 18, no QL?

There's a few members w/QL on this forum running 275/65/18s. One in particular is running Duratracs (32x11x9) on the Mopar Offroad Wheels. He states that there are no fitment issues at Aero and Normal ride height. I also have stock 18s and no QL and believe that anything the QL guys are running that fits without rubbing at their normal ride height will work for us as well. For me, I am lifting it 2.5" and am hoping to run either 265/70/18 (32.6x10.7x8.3) General Grabber A/T2 or possibly even 275/70/18 Duratracs (33.4x11x8.7).

I will tell you, though, that I am not a fitment expert; however, the guys that sell the lift advised me to find a shop that will do a fitment test prior to my commiting to buying the tires. If you do a fitment test, please be sure to let us know your results (and with which tire/wheel combos)...

I clear 305/60/18s (33 x 12.5) on 18 x 9.5 +25 offset wheels on normal ride height with my QL. I have room for 325/60/18 (33.5 x 13.5) I did some cutting though. If I could keep it in ORII which is 2.6 inches lift I have enough room for 35 x 13.50 tires.

wow ... ORII is a rough ride .... I have 285/60/18's and that is the largest that you can go without cutting or rubbing. I have the Yokohama Geolander AT-S and they ride great. very little road noise and they are great off road. If you want to go up on size on stock rims I would recomend these.

Yeah ORII is kinda rough but not as bad as I have experienced in other lifted trucks. If I had stock +56 offset 18 x 8s I would have room for 275/70/18s or slightly larger no problem at normal height. The 18 x 9.5 wheels I am running with the +25 offset push the wheels and tires out 2 inches over stock which makes clearing the outside and inside edge of the bumper very difficult. I have a whole thread on what I had to do to mine to run that height and width tire. 275/65/18 = 31.8-32.1" tall tire 285/60/18 =31.3-31.6" tall tire. 275/65/18s are taller than 285/60/18s but the 285s are a tad wider at 11.2" vs 10.9".

Should I be ok with that size in a Limited (ie no QL)?
