Swapped out my 32.8" trail grapplers for the new terra grappler g2. Stepped up to a narrower but taller 275/70/18 (33.19 I believe) tire and recaptured almost 3mpg over the noisy and heavy trail grapplers. The look is obviously not as aggressive but I'm enjoying the quieter ride and better mpg that I lost with the trails. Haven't taken it offroad yet but hopefully I won't notice too much of a diff. Definitely prefer the g2 over the original terra. (Rro lift and -18 offset wheels.)

So a guy at work said the taller the tire the more it will kick out of overdrive a lot. Do you find that happening?

Yes of course. Taller tires, heavier tires, more aggressive tread, will all increase rotational mass and provide you 2ith decrease fuel economy. Theyre harder to turn so it requires more effort out of the motor. Definitley a trade off

Beastly looking GC! Be sure to get a few glamour shots next time you hit the trail. I'd love to see those beefy tires flexing around.

Looks good, MuSH. Got any shots that show how much those -18 wheels stick out?

Is that the RRO 2.5 lift or leveling kit?

Re: 275/70/18 (33 inch) tires

Have you had any worse rubbing issues with these being a bit larger than the Trail Grapplers or is it about the same or better?

Actually more room because these arent as wide. When i got rubbing with the trail grapplers it was when the wheel was full lock and would press up into the fender liner on the very edge of the sidewall.
