Re: 285 50/r20

I'm running Nitto Terra Grapplers that size.

According to the online calculators the speedo should be 2mph off at 60 mph. I've been meaning to check the speedo against my handheld GPS to double check. The odometer will under report the actual miles travelled too.

DirtyDuc.. What wheels are tires are you running? What offset on the wheels and do you have a picture of your setup that highlights your wheels?

So no issue with the stud/ball joint on the wider tire, right. Did you have to trim anything down?

Re: 285 50/r20

+2 for the Coopers. I have 285/50/20s mounted to Porsche Cayenne GTS reps on my wk2 with a levelling kit and there is good clearance. Had them in 285/60/18 on a Landrover Discovery 3 as well. Very happy with how the perform off road, on the beach and around town.

Shoestring - how wide are your rims? any problems balancing the TG's? Looking at picking the OEM 265 / 50 or bumping up to the 285 / 50 on my 20's

(never mind i found my answer) Jeep looks sweet with the TG's!

Re: 285 50/r20

I have decided to run 275/55/20, just another option.
