Im throwing up some more information for everyone to use... I bought 275/60-20 Rocky Mountain ATS tires and put them on SRT replica 20x9 34ET wheels. I liked the look, quiet ride, minimal loss in mpg, but wanted a more aggressive stance. I have the RRO lift and this set up just rubbed the felt liner, so I cut it back and went ahead and folded the pinch weld up front to add extra clearance. 20s and passenger a/t tires just don't suit me so I went back to 18x9 w/ 18ET wheels and LT285/65/18 tires. Fit and stance are exactly what I want. These tires are not for everyone as they are significantly heavier. (Gonna compare on a scale tomorrow.) they are also pretty noisy. I had these same model tires on my '12 ram, so I knew what I was getting into. First pic is the 33" Rocky Mtns. Second pic is the 32.8" trail grapplers. I'll post up some comparison shots of the tires just to help people get a visual of the sizing differences.

Oh and if anyone wants some 20" reps and Rocky mtn tires, they'll be on the FOr Sale forum soon.

My only complaint on the rack is the diameter of tubing they used. It really limits the types of attachments you can use from yakima, Thule, etc. Granted, that adds to its load capacity, just a trade off of rather not have as I carry more toys (kayaks, bikes, snowboards) than heavy loads up there. It's quieter than the Mopar cross bars. Can barely hear it at 70mph and after installing the fairing, I forget it's even up there.

MuSh- do you have spacers on those wheels? Can you post a pic from front? My RRO rack is super loud. I will be installing fairing for next long roadtrip. I have a set of Rhino Rack ski/fishing pole carriers that fit nicely on my rack tubes just fyi.

Well I'm not thrilled having to swap out already but I had to get a more aggressive tire. The 20 SRTs just aren't my cup of tea and I'll take a big hit on them when I put them up for sale.

As far as road manners. It's no comparison. The trail grapplers are pretty terrible, while the rocky Mtns were only slightly more noticeable in noise than stock. If you value a quiet ride, get the Terra grapplers or Rocky Mtns. If you must have the aggressive look or do considerable off roading...and can tolerate road noise and diminished handling, get the trail grapplers.

Mpg is worse with the trail grapplers too due to weight and rolling resistance of the tread.

But like I said, I knew this before buying the trail grapplers. It's worth it to me.

Any issues at all with the 285/65/18?

Im planning on doing a 2 inch lift with readylift to my wk2 2018 limited ans throwing on 285/65/18 falken wildpeak AT3, on rady lifts site they say no rubbing at all or trimming with the 2 inch lift and those tire specs using the nitto Ridge grapplers but has an offset of +38.
My plan was to use my OEM limited rims with these tires

The shop I went to was able to install the Rough Country 2.5 Inch Leveling Kit on a 2014 ecodiesel. I read some of these posts & was a tad worried the shop would call me saying it wouldn't go on. Took longer than they anticipated but mostly due to trying to fit some larger tires than the kit normally calls for. Did 285/65/R18 BFG KO2s.

Is that the standard Jeep Grand Cherokee rims? (8Jx18 ET56.4 )
If it is, did you ever get any problem putting 285 on that?
I also have a Grand Cherokee and need to change the tires. I still have the factory tires (265/60/R18), and not sure if 285 goes with that 8X18 rim.
My suspension is air ride so I can not add any lift/balancing kit.
