295/45 20 on Overland original wheels

Does anybody can tell me if a 295/45 20 tire will fit on the original 20" wheels for my WK2?
I know the wheels are 8" width so I'm not sure if this will affect the tire performance
What about rubbing?

Thanks for your advice

Seems like a lot to ask of an 8" wheel.

Far too big for an 8" wheel.

I have 285s on a 9" wheel and would not run anything wider

According the the specs on a number of 295/45-20 tires 9.5" is the minimum rim width.

Re: 295/45 20 on Overland original wheels

A little late to the party I know, but...

There are two problems:

1) I agree with the rest that a 295 is too wide for an 8" rim, regardless of the applictaion. Just not safe.

2) When deciding on larger tires I installed a 275 (like a lot of people run) on my 18" WK2 rim and there is no way anything wider will clear on a stock rim, without spacers.
