Re: 33x12.50 no rub. So Sexy.

part of my process when working on putting these wheels & tires together was to minimize the amount of offset I needed in order to pull it off. I dont like the big poke look. not to mention what it does to your paint when you really use your vehicle offroad. I went with a safe, mid offset that would allow both full use of the 33" tire under all circumstances, without the need for aftermarket flares or unnecessary poke.

Yes, of course these come outside the fenders a bit. But not much. No flares for me

Hey... can you try to show some support over at this new thread :

Who is interested in an aftermarket fender flare alternative?

Re: 33x12.50 no rub. So Sexy.

Hey alludc, I am trying to get some wheels for my 15 altitude. How much wiggle room is there for your wheel/tire set up? Like could i get 20x9 with a +30 offset or will this rub? I havent seen many wheel options for a 32/33 inch wheel. I currently have Toyo RTs waiting for wheels (285/55R20). What is the backspacing on those wheels? Did you find many other options available for wheels?

Beauty setup alludc. Ryan and I had a good laugh about our earlier connection. We'll be looking at this setup for my Billet Limited come spring. I have the magnaflow 16929 for my Hemi but found the drone intolerable so reverted to stock. I think it was designed more with the V6 in mind.

Well done dude. Going to keep watching your progress. I'm a fan.

20x9 on a 30 offset would be fine in either direction with a 32"

33's are always gonna be tough and will depend from one tire to the next. I absolutely didnt find many options in this mid-offset. Most are Wrangler type fitment of -12 to +12. And then some options in the +18 range which is nice (had these on my 2012) but a bit pokey for my taste.

your tire is 11.4 section width (mines 12.5) and you are 32.4 vs 33. Id say you would be all good for sure with the full lift anywhere from a +12 to a +40 offset on a 9" wheel

You really think a +12 would work? The guys installing the wheels said the wheels didnt clear by a considerable margin. Did you have +18s with a similar sized tire on your 2012? Im trying to make the purchase today to get them on by thursday. Ive got a trip out into the desert on Friday for a week or so

Re: 33x12.50 no rub. So Sexy.

Thunder.. You haven't said if lifted or leveled. I'll assume lifted. My 12 was leveled and had 20x9 +18 wheel wwith 275/55-20 cooper's. I had room all over. Now if you went to +12 offset you've gained an additional 6mm away from the bolt on the inside and you push the wheel out that much further. Yes, you are doing wider and taller but you will have no issue. My current setup is 20x8.5+ 30 with 12.5 wide tire. So you do have a 1/2 wider wheel if you do the 9. So if I out those on my jeep I'd lose 1/4 outside and inside, then if that offset changed to the +12 I would add 18 more mm inside clearance. Then you take away That 1/4" from earlier and you end up with a net 1/2" more room on the inside than I already have and a smaller tire to boot. It works, all day.. . IF LIFTED.

Don't the +30's poke out farther than a +12 or +18?

Do you have a shot of how the tires line up with the stock flares?

Re: 33x12.50 no rub. So Sexy.

I do in fact have the lift. I ended up going with the KMC 651. 20x8.5 +38. 3/10" further in but I am ok with it. I just hope it will be flush with the wheel well. Thanks for the help though. At the place I am having the wheels put on they didnt seem to think even the +18 offset on a 20x9 would be sufficient

You'll be fine. I have plenty of room left to the bolt on a bigger tire. You'll have only a slight poke.
