35's....for real.

Ok, I cant imagine why I never quite figured out how Jeep had their MOAB vehicles equipped (orange one on 35s). Seemed like a standard ORII or 2.5" lift. I knew they had the inner fender liners out. but what else!?!? Now I see it! They did it on the Green one and tan ones too..

They cut out the metal body work all the way up to the fender fold we have now and made a new flare. If you tell me where to get this flare, or who will make them for me...I will cut my Jeep up and make this happen. The one part that I see being really difficult is that rear door section. Gonna have my body shop bud take a look at the logistics of all this soon. Stock pic at bottom.

Re: 35's....for real.

Doesn't surprise me that they did that kind of modification for these show vehicles! It did the job, too.

Now if they will actually offer those colors someday when I'm ready for my next JGC...

Re: 35's....for real.

I wanted to go down that same road and even thought that I could just fabricate my own fender flares using fiberglass...then I noticed that my rock rails would make things much more complicated. It looks like the orange MOAB concept used the same rock rails, but just cut them a little shorter on both ends. At their shop I'm sure this wasn't a big deal, but for me to remove them, cut, re-weld the ends, and then powder coat afterward seemed like way too much work. So I decided 32" tires would be okay.

Now, if I didn't have the rock rails...it would be different story.
