? I ran a May 13 build all last winter in snow mode when there was ice/snow on the ground and it never aero'd even on the interstates. YMMV.

If you drive in near zero temps with slushy ice, it won't build up as much if you have less clearance, the tires do a pretty good job of removing it, but only for about a millimeter or so away from the tire's surface unless you are also turning the wheel or shifting weight side to side on turns... even then it gets quite close to the tire surface in a hurry. Your larger tires will just carve out a larger hole in the slush is all.

If you need to go to park, hit the park switch while the vehicle is moving so it can grind a bit more ice out to go down.

Re: AERO Mode

I hear what you guys are saying. The nannies in the computer programming may sense when you are driving in snow or in perilous conditions that prevent it from going into aero mode. This is my 3rd grand Cherokee for a reason, they are great in the snow. The reason I asked was because when I did try putting it into Snow mode, it dropped down. Again, this was my experience, and it might not be valid because it was warm and there wasn't snow on the ground, I just figured, if I did put it in snow mode, it would prevent it from doing so. Thought it might be something that shouldn't happen regardless, but I seem to be wrong. Again, just curious about everyone's experience with it. Thats what the forum is about.

Good concern about ice buildup when into aero with the 275/65s..
I heard that turning off the Eco mode (button on centre stack) will disable the change to Aero when driving ... I will test it tomorrow when I can hit 80 without breaking the law

In my USA model Limited, I always turn off the "ECO" mode as soon as I start the vehicle, and it always drops into Aero ride height just the same way it does when ECO is not turned off. It doesn't make a difference.

Re: AERO Mode

If the Jeep is in Aero mode and you press the up button, will it go to NRH or OR1?

I was in Aero mode cruising at 65 mph and rotated the dial into all possible modes with no change in suspension. I tried to raise the vehicle with the up arrow also while trying different select terrain modes. One interesting tid bit while doing this, when I switched into snow mode my headlights came on. They were set to auto mode and as soon as I switched out of snow mode they went off. It wasn't a fluke because I was able to get the headlights to come back on again by switching into snow mode.

Re: AERO Mode

can anyone confirm if snow mode disables aero mode even at highway speed? if so is it safe to use when there is no snow or not cold out? i dont want my 2015 gc going into aero mode while im hauling because it changes the level of my rig. the user guide says it only lowers 16mm but iv take my own measurements and it almost a full inch

We'll be making our maiden voyage with our camper soon and am wondering the same thing. I wonder if the air suspension can be disabled at startup.

Re: AERO Mode

The air suspension will enter Aero mode if you cross a certain speed threshold regardless of if you are in snow or normal mode. At least mine does.

There's no good way to disable the air suspension short of pulling fuses (which will disable the entire system, including load leveling).

I have found no modes that eliminate aero mode. Speed is the only way at this time to eliminate aero mode.
