Aftermarket TPMS sensor installation

Hello everyone,

I just ordered a set new of wheels (without tires) from tire rack with the aftermarket TPMS sensors. Is their any special programming that needs to be done? I wanted to get the tires installed at a local shop versus going to the dealer.

Thanks,

Dino

Re: Aftermarket TPMS sensor installation

No. It took a few miles of driving before they were detected, but no programming was required.

Re: Aftermarket TPMS sensor installation

When I did mine, the system just reported whatever the psi was in the old tires for about 5 miles and then switched right over. Seamless.

Re: Aftermarket TPMS sensor installation

Installed new wheels today and the system recognized the sensors immediately. No issues at all.
