Re: Another WK2 w. Rubicon Wheels

So I just put my new wheels on. Craigslist find. $1000. for 5 with less than 600 miles on them. They fit perfect with no rubbing. I do have the 1.25 inch spacers on there too.

The guy gave me the original lug nuts with the rims. I was very surprised when they didn't fit. They were a hair small. I just used the ones that came on the grand cherokee with no problems.

Another thing I noticed. I compared my full size spare tire to the stock 20 inch one that came on the Jeep and was surprised again. Spare was a quarter to half inch bigger in diameter. I was always under the impression this was critical with 4 wheel drive vehicles.

No idea why my pics just posted upside down. They were fine on my phone and on desktop. Oh well.

Forgive the dirty ride. Snow tomorrow.

not sure if you even need the 1.25 spacers with these wheels unless yours is a V8 model with the HD Brakes ??

Looks Great !!

Yes. Obviously the bins don't fit though.

I have seen it somewhere on the forum where they can fit, however you have to remove the bins.

Hi, I'm new to this. Also, I don't know much about Jeeps yet.

I was wondering, will you consider keeping the tires but getting different rims? Is that at all possible? Honestly I just don't know much about this.

For instance, would these work on your Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Rugged Ridge 15391.36 Wheel/Tire Package, 18 XHD, Black Satin, 305/60R18, 13-15 JK

Welcome!

I would say that set up is way too big. I believe the largest tire without spacers or a lift is 255/75r.

Everything always depends on the offset and tire size. Some aftermarket rims that are meant for a JK will not fit on a WK because the lugs are a different size. Best of luck!

Mike

Re: Another WK2 w. Rubicon Wheels

Anyone else out there have Rubi wheels on a non-lifted WK2? I'm going to put these on my 15 Alti. Just wanted to see a couple more pics and get a review of how it drives. Thanks for the help.

Re: Another WK2 w. Rubicon Wheels

Also, any reco on lug nuts? I assume the Wrangler lugs that come with the wheels won't fit the WK2 studs.

Did you buy Bora Spacers? I have a friend that wants to swap his wheels from Rubicon. He wants to know if they fit with the pockets on the back face if the new wheels. How much do the Jeep's studs protrude past the face of the spacers?
Thanks
