Does it count as a WK2 with Rubicon....when you have a pic of your WK2 pulling out a stuck Rubicon?ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1475779488.326243.jpg

Re: Another WK2 w. Rubicon Wheels

How did that even get stuck? It looks like the only soft spot in the photo, and they buried one wheel in it. That's just odd.

Re: Another WK2 w. Rubicon Wheels

Installed on a 2012 V6 with QL. 275/65/17. No spacers. No rubbing including park mode. Came off of a 2015 Wrangler. TPMS works perfect, did not need to bring to the dealer, they were self learning. Looking forward to some snow!

Just watch the stock Rubicon tires in the now. From what I've read they're not great. I'm sure it would be fine but they are not siped.

Re: Another WK2 w. Rubicon Wheels

What are you guys doing if anything to correct for speedometer error? Does the increased diameter effect ABS or other data inputs?

Re: Another WK2 w. Rubicon Wheels

The tire size can be corrected by the dealership. Usually for a "small" fee. They simply plug into the OBD-II port and tell the computer the correct size. Everything will then operate as intended, since the speed, and distance are measured correctly. The larger diameter is a little harder on braking, but the size difference between stock WK2 and JK/U tires isn't enough to create a risk or braking concerns.
Another way correct the speedometer/odometer is to adjust it yourself with a tuner. This is the way most people do it, since they'd rather spend the money on a tool they can again (and for other features), rather than giving money to the dealership for 10 minutes of "work".
From what I've seen, Superchips seems to be the most popular, though the truck world seems to use Bullydog a lot too.

Thanks. I understand all of that and have done it on many Jeeps. Question here is: Has anyone successfully done this on a WK2? If so, which method worked?

Re: Another WK2 w. Rubicon Wheels

Yes, mine's accurate now. Sorry if I wasn't clear, I was just trying to give options. To be more specific, my buddy is a big-wig at a local dealership, so he fixed mine for free (only took his guy a few minutes).

Except if you live in Canada and the dealer can only change it to other stock sizes. Another Canada fail...

Re: Another WK2 w. Rubicon Wheels

What!?!? That's messed up. I really like our neighbors to the north, but y'all are weird some times. Why would they make it so Canadian dealerships can't set a size other than stock? True fail there.

We always get screwed with that stuff. Sucks, I know a guy at a dealer that does all the electrical stuff too. We hooked it up to double check but now option for custom sizes
