Re: Anybody tried 265 65 R18?

Hi all, I have just picked up a WK2 GC CRD laredo with QL suspesion, and I need to fit an off0road tire. There is nothing aggressive enough in the 265/60x18 A/T's from Cooper or Mickey T. Will 265/65x18 fit? I do snow driving so I need to maintain some clearance between the guard and tire for chains on the rear.
Appreciate any advie....

Lots of people like the Michelin LTX M/S2 and LTX AT/2, Good Year Silent Armor, Firestone Destination A/T.

Re: Anybody tried 265 65 R18?

Just curious if anyone has gone up to 265/65/18 and not done anything with the spare? Is the slight difference in dia enough to freak out the TC? Has anyone had to use the spare in this situation?

I'm planing on the LTX a/t2 right after it gets here but have had bfg a/t on other vehicles and really liked them. Never worried about the spare but don't have TC or full time 4wd on the current truck and figured I can end up with the spare on the front if push comes to shove to prevent LSD wear and tear.

Not sure how the jeep would react...

@Harvie Is that GC lifted or a completely stock suspension? Would sport mode with the QL cause rubbing with that tire?

Hey there, this Limited CRD GC is stock as a rock without "quadlift". I don't know how low the quadlift goes so I don't know if it will rub..

Just had the arb bar installed and it is as I feared.. wheels touching due to the extra weight. Offroadies off ond stockies back on until the lift goes in..
