I had an older set of Sahara take-offs on my 2012 for about 6 months. These might not be the ones you're talking about, but I figure someone else might be interested in seeing this if these aren't what you're looking for. I picked up a set of 5 w/ the tires @ about 30% tread for $300 off craigslist.

I just did this about a month ago on my 2014 WK2 Overland (v6).

I went down from the stock 20's to Sahara 18's, off a 2012 I believe.

I'm running BFG KO2's 255/70R18. They BARELY clear, but they clear. Park mode is very close if not rubbing, so I don't put it down that low.

I bought them on Craigslist for $350 for 5 wheels and tires. Tires were bald (still were the stock Sahara tires), except for the spare which was still new.

Only issue I'm having is the TPMS sensors stop reading at high speeds. I bought Dorman part # 974-043. I'm still trying to figure that one out.

These KO2's can take a lot of pressure (65psi), but I also read that Jeep set a PSI range for the sensors. I can't figure out what the max PSI limit is so right now they are set at a weak 36psi. If anyone knows please share!

I just picked up a used set of Sahara wheels off Craigslist to eventually replace the stock 20 inch Altitude wheels. In the year and a half I've had my Altitude I've gone 'mudding' a dozen times or so and with the rocks that are always in the mud my wheels are scratched to hell. I wanted a little more rubber between the wheels and the road, and I got a great deal on these. I plan on powder coating the Sahara wheels with a textured flat black on the outer raised lip and gloss black on everything else.

End result should look something like this: jk sahara wheels - Bing images

The wheels came with TPMS sensors, but don't know if I'll try to use those and hope they still work, try to use the ones from my 20s, or just buy new.

I also don't know if the lug nuts I have now will work or if I should use them. I have the Gorilla black 'bulge' style lug nuts and they don't seem to fit all the way down in the Sahara wheels and kind of stick out. They both use the same 60 angle on the seat, so they should work okay.

I have a few concerns running this set up.
I Know this is an older post. But my 18" non spoke wheel rub the caliper bracket. I got them for very cheap. What spacer make did you go with? And are they safe? I really want to run this rim. Do the 1/4" inch spacers just slide on existing lug nuts like big washers? Therefore making the wheel non hub centric. Does anyone on here know the best way to run this rim on a stock height 2011 wk2? Is it best to go with bolt on spacers? And if so what size will work.
Thanks all.

Since we finally got a break from the cold weather I test fit the five hole, 18 inch Sahara wheels on my 2015 Altitude today. It appears they will rub the brake caliper bracket. Not much but they do hit. One could certainly just trim the bracket down a little, but I'll probably go with spacers instead. Figured I would update the thread.

'14 Overland with '16 Sahara rims. No interference at all. They fit just fine.

Now I just have to put some BFG KO2 or GY Duratrac on them, and I'll be set.

Can you post a pic showing how close your caliper bracket is to the wheel? As I've shown in the pic above, mine did rub. I can't imagine that your WK2 and mine would be that different. I ended up mounting the wheels with 275 65 18 Duratracs and 1.25 inch BORA spacers. The tires do rub so I'm having some 5mm spacers made up to bring the tires back in.

Regarding tires. I'll be using a 255/70/18, which is the same as the tires that are on them now. No rub that I've found, on any setting of the suspension (even in aero). I'm just switching the tires because I want a more aggressive tread, and I have to dismount the current tires to install the sensors anyway. So I'll be going with Duratracs or BFG, and selling the Bridgestones (that are basically new).

They should fit. According to Schrader International 11-15 Grand Cherokee, and 13-15 Wrangler use the same part number TPMS (433 mhZ). Other years may be compatible, but those were what I came up with when swapping my rims/tires.

On a side note, if the seller has removed their sensors, or they are not compatible across the years you are buying from, you can order all 4 sensors from Amazon for around $50 (a little less actually). That's total, not each. They took about a week and a half to arrive in Ohio, because they were coming from Alaska, but I got 4 for what the local dealer and tire shop wanted to charge for each sensor.
Just search Amazon for part number 56029398AB. This is the stock replacement part for our sensors. Here's a link to the set I bought → TPMS for WK2

You're welcome. I figure if can save someone else some money too, I've contributed to the forum.

One more update. The storage trays can also be made to fit with the larger 32" tire. It's not the prettiest thing, but gets the job done. I'm not completely finished but as of now they're in and functional.
I split the trays and then offset the inner edge a bit to make it slightly narrower. I am ultimately going to rivet them together, but I used zip ties for the time being. I wanted to make sure it was functional before making it permanent, and I didn't have any plastic rivets in the size I needed while I was working on it anyway.
So for now, here's a somewhat finished product. I'm going to use plastic rivets where the blue zip ties are, and dress up the edges a bit to eliminate the mismatch look. I plan on laying a bead of silicon along the seam on the inside of the tray, maybe trim the corner so you don't see the step at the ends the two pieces, and fill the gap (seen from the side view) with something that is either black or can be painted to conceal the overlap. That's a project for later though. Till then they're in and my misc stuff isn't floating around the spare tire well anymore. So far so good.

I'm assuming you're asking about the spare tire mounting in the cargo hold? If so, I just used the original fastener to secure it. I put the spare in as far forward as it would go, and screwed in the stud. The stud doesn't have to be, precisely centered in the rim for the spare to be secure. It's just gotta hold it down, which it does.
If that's not what you were asking, or if you need any specific pictures just let me know and I'll clarify, and/or take pictures as needed.

Yes, talking about securing the tire in the well.. My hold down bolt doesn't seem to reach the threads ( my14)..

Hmmm. Odd. Mine's a '14 too, and seems to reach just fine. The tire is 255/70/18, mounted on a 2016 Sahara rim. I'll go take a look at the stud to see if there is anything you can do to make it work.

#30 ·
So I just went out and took a closer look. The stud is short but mine does hold. It's not an ideal grip, but I get about 1.5 turns of thread engagement before the disc contacts the rim. I only snug it from there (no need to really crank it down) so total thread is about and extra 1/4 turn from there.

The only solution I can see right off the bat is to use an extension on the stud. Basically a threaded coupling, and another section of threaded rod. This image is a random size to give a visual representation of what I'm talking about (not sure what size the stud is on the spare)

You'd probably have to trim the stock stud a bit so the coupling doesn't bottom out, but you could adapt it fairly easy.

I purchased a set of 5mm aluminum spacers from Adaptec to fit my Sahara wheels to my 2015 WK2. Clears the calipers with space left on the hub to center the wheel and lots of thread left on the studs. I've ran these for quite a few miles and have gone off road with them with no issues. These are cut to order and are hub centric. Just slide them over the studs and mount the wheels. I make sure to hand torque them to 90lbs whenever the wheels are off.

I appreciate your input. The more info the better. I think I have decided to go with 5mm like VMX12R has done. I will be ordering them soon. These will be summer only as I run a winter steel black rim for the next 3 or 4 months. I bought 5 Sahara rims and tires used for only 3 weeks for 500 which is very cheap so the extra money for spacers in nothing. I just want to do this right and safe. I will post pics when I do the switch in the spring but here is a couple of the test fit. One showing the rim touching the caliper.
Thanks again.

Well as promised here are a few pics of the Sahara 5 hole rim on my 2011. I used a 5mm spacer as they did hit the caliper bracket. I am really happy with the look and the full size spare does fit in the back under the panel. (without the two storage bins) I will also add that I doubt the wimpy scissor jack will be high enough to lift the truck now to change a flat so I left that out. I have road side assistance anyway. I will be looking into an alternative also. The ride is smooth with a little bit more road noise over the stock Michelin's. Not as loud as snow tires though. They do not rub at all on the road but may rub off road. ( I do not off road this truck. ( That's what the Rubicon is for) Also the TPMS work!
Thanks to VMX12R for the help and all who had some input into this.
