Bad creak from front end

The last few times I have backed into my driveway (small bump) I am getting this horrible creaking sound. I cant duplicate it by pushing on the front end. Anyone else have/had this?

Re: Bad creak from front end

Did it just start, or getting progressively worse?

I manage a fleet, and 9 times out of 10 in the winter we can fix strange creaks by bringing them inside to thaw them out. Or we will run them through the carwash 1st, then dry and thaw inside. It has been raining and snowing, temps going from -20 to +40 deg F here for the past few weeks and I am seeing all sorts of water/ice related issues with front ends of cars and trucks in particular (front tire imbalance, brake problems, noises, etc).

Otherwise, take it to your dealer if under warranty and have them check it out.

Re: Bad creak from front end

I was just about to put a thread up about this. I am having the exact same issue. It happens going into my driveway, coming to a complete stop, and accelerating from a stop. I can't duplicate it by pushing on the front either.

I just had eibach springs installed. I am thinking the struts might have been torqued too much. The suspension is tight and doesnt "clunk" so i'm not thinking it's loose.
