On a 2013, White JGC Overland. It's 2 wheel drive so no offroad use just interstate(70+ mph) and around town. Most importantly is grip/traction both in the rain and on dry pavement.

Mine are michelin Latitude Tour HP in the stock 20 size. Excellent highway cruiser very smooth and quiet and handles great, good in wet also. They do ok in snow but if i were in a snowier climate i would not have picked them. These are the Tour HPs which are little different tread design than the 18" plain Tours that many on here dont like.
Couldnt get the forteras or Bridgestones to stop shaking after sevrral road force balancings. Put the tour HPs on and they were smooth as glass first time out the door. Very good handling highway cruiser if thats what you want.
They are an all season and will do fine in snow but there are better choices for all season that emphasize snow if you are in a climate that needs them. But you give some things up like more noise or whatever else. Just have to buyem how you use them. Im in virginia and they are more than adequate for the winters we have
I'm picking up a 2013 JGC Overland tomorrow. I mentioned the wear on the tires. The dealer agreed to replace them with some 'takeoffs'. They are G/Y Fortera HLs. Guessing the buyer of a new JGC wanted something else. Even though I would have chosen one of the brands y'all recommended if I was buying tires, "beggars can't be choosers"?. They are also installing a new Interstate AGM battery. Can't wait to get it!

Well i guess if you are getting them for free what can you say but many here dont like them, I got rid of mine at 10k. One thing i would suggest is that before you sign the paperwork test drive it on the highway and take it up to 75 and make sure it doesnt shake. One reason there are so msny fortera take offs around is because they cant get the stupid things to balance. GCs with the 20s are a sensitive set up and can be hard to get properly balanced as it is which can be exasperated by a low grade tire like the fortera. Some people are ok with them just make sure it doesnt shake before you accept it. If it does make em fix it before you sign! Good luck
The Forteras were just fine for me for the 40K miles I put on them and they still had a little life left. But I sure like my Nittos better since that replacement. Given they are giving you the take-offs to seal the deal, I see no reason to complain...if after driving for a year or two you don't like them, you can research the current market then and choose an alternative.
I'll vouch for the Continental DWS. Best all season I've encountered. I think the max size is still a bit smaller than the stock tires, but if you are OK with that, they are great tires.
I also am interested what other tires are a good 20" all season tire for a V6 QT2 JGC. I currently am running the stock Fortera's with a good amount of tread left but like to hear from people about their experiences with other tires for when the time comes to replace them. Things I value are ride/handle well, good tread life, quiet, and aren't a joke in snow.
Primarily my driving is mainly on paved roads though there are some dirt and gravel roads in the area. I don't go off roading so mud/sand is not a major concern but Snow/Ice is. Now I know some people say the GY Fortera are not a good tire for snow but so far they haven't let me down and snow mode works well. On slick/iced road conditions they seem to grip less than I would like but slowing down and holding steady works there. Overall the Forteras have performed well other than some highway vibrations at times but if there is a tire that betters them in most categories that would be good to know when the time comes to replace.
Having grown up in Erie I'd suggest a winter tire only and a good all season or summer only for summer. All seasons aren't going to cut it in the snow there.

Yeah the Erie region though I'm SW of Harborcreek. Surprisingly this is the second winter and so far the Goodyear Fortera's haven't let me down though I know there are better all around (including snow) all seasons out there. I really haven't had an issue with snow/slush/ice for many years now even my previous highlander didn't have an issue with it's stock all seasons until the tread was done to a minimal amount left.
ive ran the nitto 420's. good tire. I am on general tire gmax's right now and they perform like the nittos but im finding better snow traction from them now
