About to purchase an '11 4x4 Limited for the wife. She wants aftermarket wheels as the stock 18"s are frankly pretty boring.
I am really shocked at how poor the selection of aftermarket wheels for the WK2 jeeps are. I have spent hours going through this forum and so far this is all I see:
Viper wheels - I like them but wife doesn't.
SRT8 Replicas (5 spoke) - Where are these in stock for WK2 fitment?
2012 SRT8 Replicas - Cannot find these anywhere for sale.
20" Overland replicas - Again - cannot find these in stock ANYWHERE.
All the Tire Rack wheels are hideous.
Am I missing something? Where are the wheel choices?
I am looking for aggressive, dark chrome or gunmetal type wheels in 20 inch size that will look good on a Silver Limited (no Quadra Lift).
There are a lot of choices out there! Just gotta search for both 5x5 and 5x127 bolt patterns. They are the same bolt pattern but some sites sometimes use one exclusively and not the other, thereby limiting your search results. Also search for around a 35mm offset, I believe the best fit. I just got a set of KMC D2 wheels on my Jeep. I will post some more pics eventually, but here is one for now.
I have to agree with the OP. I too would like to find a nice set of 20's. But it seems like options are few, and many opt for factory reps. I may do likewise, but sure wish I could find something custom that complemented the Jeeps looks.
Thanks for the compliments! I have the QL stock suspension and the Jeep is sitting at the normal drive height. Those wheels are 22x9.5" KMC D2 wheels wrapped in Falken Ziex 285-40-22 tires. I found them locally, but came across several other sets online. They are a bit pricy, but I ended up getting a great deal so I couldn't pass them up. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask! Like I said, I'll try to get some more pics this weekend.
Love those D2's. I know the offset on them is +12 which is kinda low for our Jeeps. Do you think they will work with a Eibach drop? Maybe with a 275 tire?
The offset on my D2s is 35mm. It was listed on the description and is stamped on the back of the rim so I am sure of that. There are several different bolt patterns and offsets for the D2s. I know that my set had 10-12 holes for a universal fit, but I bought them locally from a private party, so I do not know where to buy them online
Weird. When I was looking at these wheels a little while ago I could only find +12 but just checked and it looks like they came out with a higher offset. Sweet!!
i've been looking into this as well. i want to stick with a 20" and not a 22" for the tire options. In addition to whats already listed above, ie reps heres some others i have considered. These are all 20" that can be 5x127. can you guess what color im interested in?
my eyes led me initially to the Giovanna Dalar 5 matte black. Only 5x127 in a 22" sadly. I might have to break down and get this in the 22".
Niche has set of mesh style wheels in a 20" that will fit. Niche Circuit. Lots of mesh styles, sadly very few in our bolt pattern (someone has a Giovanna Kilis in a 22" on the forum).
KMC slides come in a 20" flavor (another forum member has this in 22). The offroad guys seem to like the XD series stuff from KMC that are very aggressive.
The Forgestar CF-5
Demoda Vanquish
Mopar 18" 10 spoke wheel is another option (but not a 20")
There are always a more, but these are the ones I've been more drawn too. The Viper Reps are great too, wish there was a matte/satin black version. So many nice looking jeeps here run these. Quite affordable to boot.
If you are going to step into high end stuff. ADV1 can do anything you want.... for many k per wheel. Genuinely drool worthy stuff. I won't post pics to tempt you. ADV.1 - Wheel Collection
Good luck. Let us know which way you go, especially if its something different. I'd love to see more stuff!
