Bigger wheels, bigger brakes?

I currently have the 8.5" wide
stock wheels on my Summit. I am looking to go to 20x10 wheels, and debating on going staggered with 8.5 in front or 10 all around. If I go to a 20 in wide tire, will my factory brakes be less effective?? Or will I need to upgrade to some Brembos or something?
Thanks for any input

I think the summit wheels are 8" wide and I'm not sure what a 20" wide tire is. I doubt you would have to upgrade. Just look at the combined wheel and tire weight. A lot of guys run 275/55 tires and some of those are 10lbs heavier than stock per tire.

You will be fine. There will be a negligible effect. If you have any concern and your jeep doesn't already have it you could install the 1 inch larger front rotors from the HD brake package, simple and worth every cent. Or if you really want to offset the small difference you could do the 6 pot fronts from the SRT8. I want to do it but I don't want 20's.
