Re: Biggest 17" tires on stock wheels?

Same size with 2" spacers (Discoverer A/T3s). It's a nice fit.

You may be right, but if it was going to be by the hair of my chin without them anyway, I'd still opt for something smaller. I don't want to rub when flexing the suspension, especially while off road and I'm sure it would become a problem.

Indeed, Dabitz. I've looked at yours for a source of visual comparison quite often, based on your spacers.

It's a great looking WK2!

I chose the Toyo Open Country's because I use them year round in Boston. We had a foot of snow yesterday and I had zero issues, while most people stayed home or were stuck on the side of the road. They are one of the best AT tires I have found. They are great in snow, wet, dry, hot and cold. No complaints.

How have the 265/65/17 worked out for you? Any rubbing or issues with lock to lock turning? I'm considering doing the same thing in the near future. I'm also running a base WK2 with 17's.

I originally thought about going with 265/70/17 but I think there will be rubbing.
