[QUOTE=antsjeep;1285119]I went with these by Gorilla. They are the same size as OEM but are all locking.

How well do these work when removing the lug nuts? When I had the dealer remove the factory lug nuts to put on winter wheels, I was concerned about them scratching the wheels and they were concerned too. When I purchased my new Altitude, I had them exchange a wheel with another Jeep because it was scratched from the factory lug nut machine. I would like to find a great looking black lug nut that will last awhile.

Re: Black lug nuts for 2015 altitude wheels

After lots of research it looks like I'm going to buy gor-96643bdx from Summit Racing. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/gor-96643bdx
Many websites unfortunately do not sell these. They appear to be the best fit. Has anyone else purchased these? If so, how are they holding up?

I guess I'm the odd man out on this one. I bought the Gorilla black lug nuts but decided I like the contrast of the oem chrome lug nuts. I should probably put them up for sale since they're brand new never mounted, and I don't think I will end up using them...

Did you purchase these? I have similar questions - what is your opinion?

McGard makes the best lugs in the industry with a lifetime warrantee, not cheap though!
Raptor,
I know that everyone is doing Gorilla, but made in 'Merica (McGard) vs. made in Taiwan (Gorilla), from what I read. They are twice the price though. If anyone finds a deal on these, let me know.

Question now, bulge or no bulge? (ha)
64072 Straight
64074 Bulge

Anyone have issues with their Gorilla's?

Bulge is the correct seating lug.

Yes they cost twice as much, but McGard lugs are American Made and clearly "the best you can buy" with a lifetime warrantee on the lug and it's coating! Sometimes you get what you pay for.

Just an FYI I went with this set of all locking and ran into issues after my 3rd tire rotation. I trust my tire guru and he suggested I make the switch. I am very consistent on my rotations, so on the 4th time I went to the Gorilla 14x1.5 acorn bulge and eliminated the locking lugs. Main rationale was I am not worried about theft, if I need to change a tire it will be much easier, and since the outer threads were wearing it was a no brainer. Plus I really only bought the locking lugs to begin with because they came in a package of 20 haha I did not want to but 5 individual packs of 4 LMAO

I am happy with the new Gorillas...will report back after a couple rotations

I have heard nothing but great things about the McGards and if I run into a similar issue after my tire rotations these will be the next lug for sure!
