Many of these wheels will bolt up, but not look right, nor with they perform correctly as they all stick out significantly from the wheel wells. No one seems concerned that they are mounting the incorrect wheels on their 2011+ Grand Cherokees.
While the offset of the stock wheel is +56, the stock wheel is 8" wide. The wheel mentioned is a 9" wide wheel. The offset will be different on a wider wheel - usually a lower number. As such, it is not the incorrect offset, only different from the factory 8" wide wheel.

There is nothing wrong with using a wider wheel. The 8" wide wheels are tucked into and under the fenders too far. I purchased Factory Reproduction 20X9 wheels for my WK2. Yes they stick out a little further than the stock 20X8 wheels, but I also used a wider tire which IMHO looks much better than the stock wheel setup.

Re: Black Wheel options ?

To offset or not to offset. That is the question. I didn't realize this was a sore spot of concern for people. Jeep themselves put JK wheels on their concept off road edition. Is it that big of a deal?

Re: Black Wheel options ?

I tend to agree with rushdriven, a little more outboard wheel due to less offset looks nice on the WK2 and gives it perhaps a more stable footprint. The stock setup is tucked in pretty far from the wheel wells. Less offset also gives room for a wider tire and even some dish to the wheel design if so desired.

There are other threads here showing the WK2 with some great looking aftermarkets. I believe 4thcherokee had the Rhino wheels, which looked killer. There are others.

OP, you can also opt to plastidip or paint your stock wheelset as a first try, there are also threads/photos here with good outcomes.

Edit: Check out this thread below and post #13 in it, there are other threads here as well:

There is a Diamo Karat 39 that's 18x8 and 38 mm offset. It comes in black chrome not flat or gloss black. Unfortunately it costs a little more, is hard to find, and weighs 38 lbs.

I have nothing against using a wider wheel with a wider tire, actually that's what I would like to do. The problem is no one yet really makes that wheel for a WK2.

Most are apparently using JK Wrangler wheels with the proper offset for a Wrangler, not for a 2011+ Grand Cherokee. I realize a 9" wide wheel will have a different offset than the OEM 8" wide wheel but I didn't just spend $45K++ to mount wheels made for a Wrangler that some may think looks cool but doesn't tuck into the wheelwells the way they should or would if the they were designed for a WK2!

I also don't want to spray water, dirt, and road debris all over the sides of my brand shiny new WK2's paint because I couldn't find a wheel with the right offset. A wider stance is fine, just find me an aftermarket wheel manufacturer that makes a wheel for the 2011+ Grand Cherokee...... not uh these are made for a Wrangler....... but you could bolt them right up to your Jeep too.

Even though you tend to agree with rushdriven, I see you have chosen the Mopar black accessory wheels, 18X8 with the proper 56.4mm offset. These wheels were designed for the 2011+ Grands, when will the aftermarket start to make something for us, not the Wrangler crowd?

Agreed, it is a bit surprising the aftermarket hasn't quite caught up with wk2 unit volume, but it has improved. I bought these Mopars back in Sept 2010, two weeks before the Jeep arrived, at that time there was little to nothing available.

Since then, more than a handful of members here stepped out with bigger rubber, less offset, and more aggro OR setups. Check out Wahoo's rig with big sneakers below.

Can't quite recall, but maybe by now some have even tried spacers and drilling non spec'd wheels to fit the wk2 lug pattern.

Correct me if I wrong, but aren't those Mopar wheels made for a WK2 with the right offset of 56mm with bigger Goodyear rubber?

Re: Black Wheel options ?

I think we had calculated at the local offroad shop that I would need at least a 30 offset on a 9 in width wheel. I've been searching for a wheel that wont rub or need to be spaced with my 275/65 terra grapplers.

ugh.. well.. it's at least hard to find one that i like..

I think the proper offset for a 9" wide wheel would be more like +35~45mm to fit properly on a WK2.

I am concerned about any significant changing of the scrub radius, offset, and impact on the wheel bearings, contact patch, and handling.
I have the xd monsters 20x9 ET35 w/ 275/55/20 nitto terra grapplers on them.

The ride is great, definitely more stable with a wider footprint. I have quadralift and they don't rub in any position except park mode, and that is only at extreme turn of the wheel. Overall to give that up I'm perfectly fine. The tires only break the front fenders ever so slightly, same as the black rhinos seen in other posts.

Ill work on getting some pictures up for you to see in the next few days. Don't fear the change in offset.
