Brake Dive and Acceleration Squat with QL Suspension

Is it just me or does the brake dive and acceleration squat with QL seem to be a bit excessive?

I realize its a heavy Jeep with a heavy V8 up front...just seems like things could be firmed up a little under braking and acceleration.

The suspension isn't too terrible when going down the road and going over bumps, but if you have to get on the brakes, the jeep definitely dives, and with slight acceleration you can definitely notice the rear is squatting.

I've noticed it too. I wish the suspension was a little stiffer, but it is what it is and I don't really notice or mind it anymore. That is the compromise you make for off-road performance.

This would be more in the shocks than the air bags. My Non air suspension GC does the same thing.

I'm looking into shocks at the moment. According to my local parts guy (Melbourne, Australia) we have 4 types.
Normal.
Export Tuned.
Sport.
High Performance.
He had no idea fitment on different types of suspension or models.
If anyone can shed some light on the different fitments and specs of the different shocks it would go a long way to providing a solution to the squat and dive.

Re: Brake Dive and Acceleration Squat with QL Suspension

In my experience test driving several models, this is inherent in the extra weight (presumably) of the V8. When I test drove a V6 with the QL, the weight transfer was much less noticeable. One of the reasons I eventually went on to buy a V6 instead of the Hemi was because it felt so much lighter on it's feet and didn't dive and squat.
