Brake dust shields

I just got through jacking up the Jeep and removing the left front wheel to remove a small rock that had gotten between the dust shield and the caliper. This is the second time in 5 weeks. It sounds horrible when they get in there, has anyone else encountered this? I may look at ways to close the gap a little between the dust shield and the caliper to prevent this.

Re: Brake dust shields

You could try the srt splash shields. They are larger.

Re: Brake dust shields

FWIW, I took them off of my GTI that I did track days with (for better cooling) and never had any issues.
