How's the Brembo swap working out?

63k on HD brakes and I'm changing pads out (going with Akebono ceramic pads). I do a lot of urban and traffic driving, so not surprised I'm not seeing 80k+ like some people.

Hell, 63K under those conditions isn't bad at all. The Grand Cherokee is a heavy vehicle.

And I drive aggressively on top of that. So going from 85mph to 30mph via hard braking absolutely happens on a fairly frequent basis.

Actually, I have to retract my answer. I took the Jeep in to the shop to get the brakes done. They looked at the old pads and said they have a ton of life left. Went home with my new brake pads still sealed in their box. Have to say, pretty impressive.

For all my whining about Jeep service, it is a great vehicle.

I have owned a 2011 hemi overland since new...I live in hills and the vehicle has 73500 on original pads/rotors...still lots of life left on pads...rotors in good shape with no warp or "lipping" ...don't hotrod these things and they last
