Re: Brembo Brakes

That link I posted is from OEWheels. They sell on fleabay.
Is there a steel plain wheel that I can use with the brembos for winter?

Re: Brembo Brakes

My question is what size spacer would allow for the stock wheels to be used.
From just looking the rears should clear but I only have a finger space between caliper and wheel in front.
If the spacer is minimal id be all over brake upgrade.

Re: Brembo Brakes

I like my wheels and I would need to buy a summer and winter set.
As long as the wheels dont get pushed out past the fender then im ok.
I'm sure someone will give it a try after swapping and report back.

Will the Brembos be a easy exchange with no mods as far as mounting the calipers or changing brake lines,or anything else? Not sure if the blingy red calipers will look good on my Deep Cherry red. I don't think the colors match... I want Brembos because the OEM brakes on the Overland suck...
I have never been chrome lover, but do appreciate a well done vehicle. Bling to YOUR hearts content.

Re: Brembo Brakes

Do they make a plain steel wheel that will work with the Bembos? For winter use.

Re: Brembo Brakes

I've done a little research.

20x9 ET34 Brembo's will fit (SRT Replica)
20x8 ET56 Altitude OEM wheels

Difference 34.7mm more clearance with the SRT replica meaning
it sits about 1.366 inches further away from the caliper than the OEM wheel.
In theory a spacer that size should allow for the Brembo SRT brakes to fit.

...of course im not taking into consideration the spoke design of each wheel but this is a start.

Ask anyone who has the 20x9, 20x10, 22x9 and 22x10 replicas...the brembos barely clear the spokes on those. I seriously doubt the 20x8 altitude wheels will work. I had 22x10 savinis on a 2011 durango and they didnt clear.

Re: Brembo Brakes

They could work but at what cost?
You could put a huge spacer on but it wouldn't be visually appealing or mechanically safe.

I'm just trying to find out what is the minimum size spacer one can use to make it work safely.
I don't want my Jeep looking like a 64 Impala with Dayton wire wheels.

Re: Brembo Brakes

I want the brembos but don't want to run the srt reps year round and I don't want to buy to sets of srt reps. Just looking for a cheap wheel to run in the winter.
