For you guys wanting to run non-SRT rep wheels in winter, just install your stock calipers for winter then put the Brembos on in the spring and swap back to stock in winter. That's what I'm going to do soon because I want to use my 20x8 wheels for winter.
The SRT wheels are 20X10, correct? One dealer says that that Brembos are not even possible for the Altitude. Another is confused about even what to do. A Jeep specialty garage here in Austin told me $8K. Any more detailed information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for forwarding the link and I have searched the forum. While interesting, the link does not answer my question. Perhaps someone with specific knowledge can help.

One of your questions was in regards to fitting Brembo brakes and that some shop quote you 8k to install.

I showed you a link to Brembos on a wk2 and in the link you can see the OP bought rotors+pad+calipers from an SRT8 and added it to his Jeep fitting them under 20x9 wheels. So if you spend the time by either searching the forum, searching the internet, or calling you local dealer you can find out the parts numbers. That will save you 6k.

Your other question about 20x10 wheels I thought you could find for yourself since I just showed you how easily I found the answer to your other question. I was wrong.

This time I used Google and typed in "20x10 wk2 wheels".
The very 2nd post gives you the answer.
Let me google that for you

Toxic? Condescending? No ...just trying to show people the answers are at their fingertips.

Sir- Your apparent need to appear to know everything is not helping me get the correct answer. The dealers in Houston and Austin know the part numbers for the Brembo SRT8-compatible 6 piston calipers and I have been discussing this issue with them for several days. I am also in discussion with another highly specialized Jeep mechanic. This issue is much more complex than you are apparently able to comprehend at the moment. Please - I respectfully ask that you stay off of my threads. You're not helping me get the answer that I need and your supplying verbiage may lead others to believe that the issue has been resolved. I will do the same with yours. Thank you and have a nice evening.

Re: Brembo Brakes

How exactly is this "your thread" Lawdocjoe? You are not the original poster who started the thread and this is not your personal forum. Good luck with those two dealers and that "highly specialized" Jeep mechanic telling you what you want to hear. . .

I have specific knowledge as I am the pioneer of this mod! All you need is the srt brembo calipers and srt rotors snd a wheel that fits the wk2 srt....wheels are your choice and there are many. Most use the cheaper...but high quality wk1 srt replicas in any size available from 20x9 to 22x10. But the wk2 srt brembos...front and rear are a DIRECT bolt on mod. I know as i have personally done this mod MYSELF!
So this dealer you speak of and jeep.specialist dont know their head from their ass or just want you to.pay them an outrageous price for a.pretty cheap mod.

Yeah, that's why I'm asking the question here. For whatever reason, they do not see it as being this straightforward. Thanks for the info nonetheless.
