Which kit?....did you even mount them?

I've been upgrading OEM rubber brake lines to S/S for over 25 years.

I speak with experience from hi HP motorcycles both Jap and American, various sports cars, to every Jeep I've ever owed, that would be three, (3) including the 2012 Overland Summit I'm currently driving.

What issues did you have with the S/S lines??
Did you get the correct S/S brake line kit? Were they bled properly? Did you allow air to enter the ABS system while flushing new fluid into them?

The Goodridge 15010 kit I linked to above works for all WK2 trim levels.

My experience with S/S line upgrades has been excellent. I recommend them to everyone looking for better braking, improved brake firmness & feel with the added bonus of brake lines that will last the life of the vehicle.
I have the good ridge kit for sale 15010 I bought 2 just in case I needed extra parts. Wk2 kit for sale, if you want them let me know but I'm telling you right now they are a waste of time and money on this vehicle

WHY? You prefer OEM rubber to superior lifetime S/S brake lines? Please explain?

No I don't want them, I already have that kit installed on my 2012 Overland Summit. Works great!

What's your issue with the Goodridge kit??

My issue is specifically with the fitment with the brembos isn't that great and the pedal feel is worst than the oem lines. But don't take my word for it, I only drive around with the setup daily and am switching back to stock lines when my eibach pro-dampers come in. If you aren't tracking the car and your brakes work fine leave them alone. You ever ask yourself why they don't market a kit for the SRT 8 when they already make one?

That statement makes no sense at all! If your OEM brakes on a brand new 2015 Altitude work fine why did you upgrade to the superior OEM Brembo braking package to begin with?????

What do you mean the fitment to the Brembos isn't that great? Do you mean the S/S lines don't seal to the OEM Brembo calipers very well? I have the OEM HD brake calipers not the Brembos and they seal great.

And if the pedal feel is worse than the OEM rubber lines the new S/S lines obviously weren't installed correctly!

I did it because I have 22's and the stock brakes look retarded behind bigger wheels. Nothing more.

The fitment is tight the lines don't sit where they are supposed in the guides. no problems with the seal. Just not a mod I would waste my time with on again. I will be going back to stock lines. There is literally zero benefit if you don't track the car.

OK let me get this straight....... You did this upgrade for looks?

Not for better braking?

$2000.00+ in Brembo brake parts..... For Looks!! Not for kick ass braking!

Well then go back to those lessor OEM rubber brake lines. I hope you like the way they look!

I'll go away now!

I know I'm kicking myself for not just getting an SRT instead now.

Re: Brembo Brakes

Are you going with the Hawk PC pads? Please post part number if you can...these OEM pads are HORRIBLE like nothing I've ever seen before. You look at them and the wheels get dirtier haha GL with the install

How many miles are the stock pads and rotors good for? Assuming normal driving no track

Re: Brembo Brakes

New Brembo's work great, but the pedal seems lower then it was. Do you think it needs bleeding again?

Yea took me forever to bleed it. You may need to use a tool to actuate and cycle the abs /master cylinder. I did it without but I know it was way easier with that.

The hawk PC pads are amazing I love them no dust and quiet. Stop great too. Highly recommend them.

According to my mechanic he did all that... He said give it some time to break in... Could it be the master cylinder is not up to par with the Brembo's?
