Normal ride height with spacers.

Bridgestone Dueler Revo AT2 in 275/65-18

So yesterday I found that this tire and spacer combo can rub in park mode.

I'm pretty sure this rub would not happen without the spacers.

I switched into areo mode and it did NOT rub, all things being equal. If you look closely, you'll see it is the edge of the tire hitting the raised edge of the fender lip. I think without the spacers (or even with smaller spacers) it would stay inside where there is more space.

Here is the rub in park mode.

And here is the exact same position in normal mode.

In normal mode, is there any rubbing at full wheel lock with the spacers?

Re: Bridgestone Dueler Revo AT2 in 275/65-18

In normal mode it does appear they just kiss the plastic a bit, although not at full lock - something in-between. The plastic edge on mine kind of poked up a bit such that it caused a bit of friction so I trimmed up the edge a bit and seems fine now. I think it still touches, but doesn't cause any issues.

Re: Bridgestone Dueler Revo AT2 in 275/65-18

When I was shopping for tires last week I hesitated going to 275/65 R18 because there was other reports of rubbing. I went one size smaller with 265/65-R18 and surely enough it fits but I have no clue how you can fit a bigger tire. I would not have the space for it - maybe the felt liner is anchored more tightly on other Jeeps.

How big are those spaces 1.25" ? Or 0.25" ?

Re: Bridgestone Dueler Revo AT2 in 275/65-18

I'm running 1.25" spacers. I don't think it would rub without the spacers, but we're up against the max tire size.

Re: Bridgestone Dueler Revo AT2 in 275/65-18

And with those 1.25" spacers, you're able to run with chains?

I am running 275/55-20s, no spacers, and there's no space for chains up front.

Re: Bridgestone Dueler Revo AT2 in 275/65-18

Right. The primary reason I added spacers was to allow more space so chains wouldn't catch on the front control arm. That said, I have Quadra Lift and would raise it when running chains for *fender* clearance.
