Calipers and rotor upgrades for 2012 GC Laredo V6

Hi, guys.

Ive always seen most everyone using Brembo 4 and 6 piston calipers but it looks like they don't make a set for my truck. I was on tirerack.com just now and ran across POSI QUIET LOADED CALIPER and CRYO-SPORTSTOP DRILLED ROTOR for calipers and rotors.

Anyone have any experience with these? Not going to make any moves on anything yet, just pre-planning a few things.

Thanks!

Those calipers are just stock units refurbished by Centric with Centric pads.

the srt8 brembo set will bolt on directly with your truck, there isn't a difference between the mounts on the v8 and the v8. I have a 2012 5.7 and I did the brembo upgrade no problem

Why aren't more people doing this upgrade if it's that easy? Don't get me wrong, if it really IS, Im totally putting that on the future wishlist. Baby steps for now though

Not really. I paid 1200 for front and rear calipers, rotors, pads, braked hardware, and stainless steel brake lines.

Re: Calipers and rotor upgrades for 2012 GC Laredo V6

you also need SRT rims to clear the calipers your stock 20's or 18's wont fit.

Also if you do the Swap Your spare tire will never fit on the front again.

But yes Everything is a Direct swap. if bought brand New calipers your looking at $1400 for new set.

Factory Reps $800 Tires $800,

http://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo....503003&jsn=410 $500 for pads rotors.

it adds up quickly.

Re: Calipers and rotor upgrades for 2012 GC Laredo V6

The HD brake upgrade for the V6 G. Cherokees is an affordable alternative. (Only available OEM on V8 and diesel) I'm getting my new tires and alignment next week then the HD brake upgrade is next on my list. Ability to use my stock 18" wheels is a bonus. There's a good thread on here somewhere with part numbers.

My parts are not all OEM and Brembo.

Centric front and rear rotors.
Hawk front and Centric rear pads.
Stoptech SS lines
Brake Hardware kit aftermarket (don't remember the name)
Front calipers bought from online dealer at discounted price because the powder coating was damaged in shipment.

The big savings was buying the rear calipers rebuilt and recoated by Centric loaded with pads.
Part numbers are below. If you're lucky you'll find front and rear calipers.

Calipers Posi-Quiet Loaded Caliper SRT8 Front Left 142.58014
Calipers Posi-Quiet Loaded Caliper SRT8 Front Right 142.58013
$169 each at SummitRacing when in stock

Calipers Posi-Quiet Loaded Caliper SRT8 Rear Left 142.58514
Calipers Posi-Quiet Loaded Caliper SRT8 Rear Right 142.58513
$147 each at SummitRacing when in stock

So that's about 50% less than most OEM retailers sell them for.
The only difference is these have been rebuilt and re-coated.

I can't believe the factory 20s don't clear those calipers...that's crazy!
