Changing out shocks

I have the load leveling rear shocks on my 14 Limited and have had the rear noise for a while. The dealers replaced the shocks and most recently had the tsb done. Each time the problem goes away for 2 weeks and comes right back. This is the case with the tsb as well.

I'm tired of dealing with it and I look at it as me having 2 options... Sell the Jeep or replace the shocks since others without the SLS are not having the problem. Obviously the latter is cheaper and smarter.

I realize the mounts are different on the shocks- so if I were to just buy some bilstein shocks for the non SLS Jeep, would that just bolt in? Is it that simple or do other parts need to be replaced as well? I would probably do all 4 shocks and upgrade them to something that rides nicer- any recommendations?

I'm assuming it's a similar situation for those that had SLS and lowered their Jeeps and put new shocks. Can anyone confirm?

Re: Changing out shocks

I was toying around with a couple ideas as far as shocks go. I didn't get to involved in my research, but I do remember that I couldn't find any decent replacement shocks. Does Bilstein even make shocks for the WK2?

Re: Changing out shocks

I have some of the load levelers for sale right now if you want to pick them up. I removed them to install SRT shocks. Had to use a new upper mount on the rear.

Re: Changing out shocks

Did you install srt shocks with the stock springs? Ride height change? How's ride quality and handling? Which upper mounts did you get?
