Chrome wheels?

I currently own a 2006 Limited edition and I have the 17 inch chrome wheels, and eventually I'd like to get an 11 Overland (in a year or two when there are some used ones), and I hate the current 20 inch wheels for the 2011's, and the 18 inch polished one's are alright, but I'd prefer the chrome one's, but I read on another part of the site that they're coming out in November? And they're going to be like the Dodge Ram one's? Is that true?

I'd also like you know if I can get a Jeep exactly like this:

2011 Overland with 4x4, V6, Quadra Lift, & eventually those 20 inch chrome wheels? Because whenever I build a 2011 one on the Jeep site, it changes to the 18 inch wheels because I picked the Off Road Adventure package (which I thought you had to add that to get Quadra Lift, but maybe I'm wrong)

I really just want an Overland with a V6, Quadra Lift, and eventually those 20 inch chrome wheels. Anyone with answers, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Re: Chrome wheels?

QL is standard on the Overland, but 18" wheels are substituted when an Off Road package is chosen. Just don't do that, and you keep the 20" ones. I'm sure when they are available, they will be an extra cost option for the Overland, and perhaps the Limited. With the bad luck that others have had in the past with the "chrome clad" wheels, I wouldn't opt for this, but instead stick with the painted wheels.

Our last suv was a 07 Escalade and the chrome on the 22's started to peel right after the first winter as well as the finish was extremely hard to keep shined up. Twice a year I would have to take one of those mothers polish ball things just to get them to shine again. I was sooo disappointed that something that cost so much had such poor qhality wheels. With that being said come spring I will be buying some new after market or even Jeep replacement chromes but will intend on switching out come November of every year.

Re: Chrome wheels?

If like the "chrome" wheels from past years, the "clad" is a plastic cover glued onto the wheel substrate. Guys haven't had much luck renewing the finish, and once it starts to peel, that's the end of it.

So you're saying you don't have to get the off road package to get the Quadra lift? That'd be sweet if so. And if those wheels don't even come out in November, I'd probably get the off road package for the wheels, just because I like those way more than the current 20 inch one's. The 18's at least shine a little.

And about the chrome wheels peeling, I bought my 06 Limited in summer 08, and I've had it for a bit more than two years, and they haven't peeled at all, and the Jeep is 4 years old.
