Compatibility between Durango and Grand Cherokee (WK2)
Hi guys, I am a newby here, but have been around Dodgetalk.com before (because Besides my WK2 Grand Cherokee, I own a 2nd Gen Durango Hemi). The thing is, I have had my WK2 for a year now, it's a Laredo V6 with QuadraTrac and I am quite happy with it, but I can't help to notice a lot kind of a boaty driving feel, a very slow steering ratio might be the cause imo.
Last week I had the dealer lend me a Durango Awd, also V6 to test it and see if we change the Durango for the newer model.
That durango felt the same in terms of power, acceleration, etc, but it felt more nimble, with crisper reactions, almost as if it was lighter than my Grand Cherokee, I don't know if steering ratio was more direct, or if it was that it had 20" wheels (as opossed to my GCH's 18"s).
I always thought they would feel the same if anything the Durango heavier since it's bigger, but it was the opossite. Do you know if it's really truth that Dodge uses a different suspension tuning to achieve a more sporty ride?
In that case, would suspension parts be interchangeable? Because I really liked it better and I would like my Jeep to feel like that.
