Re: Continental CrossContact LX20 265/50R20

The factory GoodYears really suck on the summit - for me anyways.
Had all road force balanced (had a wobble) and 2 are "out of round"
15000 miles on the goodyears.

Thinking of going continentals LX20's

No other issue with these as well..
Dwilliamson5002 do you have any pics of these on the Jeep?

These look good! I ordered the 265 / 50 's and will have them installed next week! Having second thoughts thinking i should've got 285 / 50's

Read all the good things here! Watched the tirerack test video and liked what was said about ride and handling. The surveys and reviews helped with my concerns about handling in the snow...we'll see

Re: Continental CrossContact LX20 265/50R20

They ride really nice on the highway!, very smooth, slightly less noise than Fortera's I think.

Also - Once thing I noticed if you take a puddle there seems to be less resistance from the tire, like it vents out water faster.

I'd give their ratings a bit more credence if that Michelin Latitude had scored a bit lower--unless the other tires suck even worse.

Re: Continental CrossContact LX20 265/50R20

I just got a set of the Bridgestone Dueler Alenza Plus's (265-50-20) installed this week after i took a wheel weight right into one of my stock Forteras. Performance is night and day. The new Alenza Plus don't seem to suffer from this flat spotting and highway issues that others reported. These tires grip the road like none other. I've got alot of 90+ degree turns on steep inclines/declines around my house and the Alenzas take them without an issue compared to alot of struggling from the Forteras. They've got a 13/32" tread depth too compared to 10/32" on the Forteras. Can't complain about the 80k mile rating either. I'm loving them so far. Waiting for some wet weather to test them out. Those Forteras made me scared for my life in rain. Got them installed for $900 with a $70 rebate from Bridgestone right now as well. Time to sell off the Forteras to one of the used tire places around the area...

Re: Continental CrossContact LX20 265/50R20

Put 265 50 20's on my Laredo last week. The 20's have much better road feedback vs the Michelin Latitude 18's that came with the Jeep. Don't feel i gave up any of the comfort associated with the 18's which really rode nice. They track true and I look forward to seeing how they handle the MN winter
