Don't feel bad about the tread wear...I have the same issue with my Nittos and also have determined that it's not worth jumping through hoops to get any kind of proration. I honestly think this is a common problem and the tread-wear warranties are all written in such a way that things favor the consumer abandoning all hope...

Re: Continental CrossContact LX20 265/50R20

I pretty much just expect about 60% of what they are rated at... then I am not disappointed when reality shows up. I don't think I have EVER owner a set from any MFG that made the full warranty period without being worn smooth. Cheap tires are cheap and expensive ones aren't always a whole lot better....

Same issue here on my 265/50R20 Michelin Latitude Tour HPs only 24k on them and they are heavily worn they will definitely not make it to 30k miles maybe 26 or 27. The tires have been great otherwise I really like them. I just expect to get a few more miles out of a set of tires in mixed driving and a moderate driver. Going to go with the Michelin Defender LTX when replacement time comes so will try for the prorate since what I want is michelin anyway. Hopefully between the HPs only lasting half as long as they were warranted, and plus the dealer buy three get one free the price won't be too bad.

Re: Continental CrossContact LX20 265/50R20

yeah to be honest if i get 45K out of them that would be nice. point is these are only good for two winters and thats a shame as they were good all season performers when they had decent tread. Don't what to sacrifice ride quality for year round performance with an AT tire so will most likely move to a rotation of dedicated snows & summers.

these have gone down in price ($158 on TireQuack) since i purchased in 2014 - so question is "what tire costs $225 that'll last til 70K & what are those tires gonna perform like after all that rolling?" IMHO I really dont think a higher priced tire equates to a longer lasting and better performing tire over time

Agree with Jim

Re: Continental CrossContact LX20 265/50R20

Is there such a thing as a recommended inflation chart for this tire on this vehicle? 2012 Overland V6. Rarely loaded with cargo (a couple of times a year super-camping/glamping), but could adjust pressure as needed for differing loads and seasons.

My installing dealer seemed to randomly inflate the tires when installed (according to TPMS, 55psi on one, 38 on another; different values in between for the rest). I was told the TPMS numbers would re-calibrate in a few days.... THAT was a rough ride until I tested them myself and re-adjusted the pressure!
