Re: Cooper H/T Plus

Greetings,

If you intend to do any off-roading, then the Hankook is the better tire from your selection. Cooper makes excellent tires, they are not know as OE tire because in their long history, they are know for replacement tires. The H/T Plus is known for light off-roading and a very good highway tire.

Also, if you provide more details on your suspension (stock, lift and/or QL) and other details if you can think of.

Best for now.

Re: Cooper H/T Plus

I have the Cooper Discoverer H/T Plus mounted on 20" Boss 304. Size is 275/55/20. I only run them in the spring/summer/fall season. They've been an excellent tire. Dry and wet traction is excellent. The ride is comfortable and the sidewall is firm enough for great handling.

In heavy rains I have no problems. zero hydroplaning issues.

If I had to run them in the winter I'm sure they'd pose zero problems. To get to the cottage I do have to do some light offroading on mud and gravel and I have zero issues there.

My experence with them has been excellent.

Have a look at garage for pics if you like.

Re: Cooper H/T Plus

Jeelo thanks for the response... I am leaning towards gthe 285-50r20 Coopers... just worriwed about the tire fitting on the stock 8" inch rim...
To amswer a earlier question my Jeep GC has the Quadra Lift.. I do not do any off roading, but we do get a considerable amount of snow from time to time...

Re: Cooper H/T Plus

Greetings,

With the Cooper 285/50/20 you should not have any problems while in the Parking mode or your turning radius with the QL

As for fitting on the Stock 18 inch rim, if my math serves me correctly, I think you are slightly past the recommended tread width.

Best for now.
