Cooper STT Pro vs MTP

Looking for a second set of tires for wheeling. Both of these are new from Cooper and both claim to be mt tires. Which would you choose? I will be driving in easy to medium trails with mud and the occasional rock, nothing huge.

Opinions?

I don't know much about the MTP, but all I've heard from the F150 & Ram forums as well as friends is awesome concerning the new STT Pro.

Would love to see one of those on a WK2. What size were you thinking of ?

Looking at 275-65-R18

The Cooper specs say these are 32.2 diameter which should just fit my QL Overland.

The STT have greater sidewalls but for what I'll be doing not sure those are necessary or justify the $40 more per tire.

Why the STT over the MTP. Is it because STT have 3ply? While that might give better rock protection is also makes them heavier right?
