I am due for new tyres after only 17000kms so now I'm trying to decide what tyre to get. I do a bit of offroad driving, nothing too serious, and a fair bit of beach driving.

Has anyone got any recommendations on tyre? If anyone is using the cooper zeon LTZ's what size and don't they scrum the inner guards? The current tyre size is 265/60/18 and the LTZ's are 285/60/18 so they are a little wider.

Also I would be interested if anyone has used these on any other car before and can comment on road noise? I used to run Bfgs on a previous 4wd and also cooper a/ts these were both terribly noisy, and not really suitable for the jgc.

Comments would be appreciated, thanks

I have the LTZs on 285/50/20 without any rubbing issues. I did a lot of research and most of it was positive. These tires are a nice compromise of all terrain yet streetable. I've taken it twice on 600+ mile roadtrips and am happy with how quiet they are. I went with a wider size to make my ride a little more agressive stance. I highly recommend them.
Ride height is at OR1

They look pretty close to the wheel well but no rubbing what so ever.

I had these on a 2010 Infiniti QX56. I loved them; good traction, handled well, and pretty quiet (the QX56 is insanely quiet and the Zeons did not add much, if any, road noise over the stock all-season Michelins. Downside is they are HEAVY tires which I immediately noticed during braking and acceleration, but overall it's not a big deal. If they had come in the size I needed, I would have put them on my Summit.
