Alright, so I wasn't able to find time in my schedule, and had a deadline coming up, so I had a local shop install my OME kit(HD front/rear coils, HD rear shocks, front shocks & trim packer).
Pretty much since the second the lift went on(thursday), there's been a loud creaking noise at low speeds(both front sides. No noise from the rear). I had it on a trail yesterday, and the creaking was louder than before, and didn't seem to correlate to the size of the bumps I was going over, but more the speed I was going(slower - more frequent and significantly louder creaking. I didn't hear any real creaking if I was going above 20-25 on the trail.), but the loudest creaking was last night driving *straight* through a flat, freshly paved parking lot at like 4-8mph. Creaking happened very loudly once every few seconds. It's not a continuous creak.
It's extremely loud creaking, but the vehicle is very stable and smooth at speed. Just rough over potholes, which is something I expected going full HD kit.
Unfortunately, in order for me disconnect anything I have to drive ~800 miles to get back to colorado and my equipment(trolley jack, jack stands, etc). Right now all I have is a torque wrench, a non-torque wrench, a few dozen different sized connectors, and the jack in my trunk. So the most I can do is pull off the wheels.
What might this be? Can I safely drive this on a highway to get back down to Colorado and then pull it apart? Is the problem potentially minor enough I can fix it here with the stuff I have?
