does quadratrac1 really work in the snow?

I have a new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee w/standard quadratrac-1. Does anyone know if this is really going to work in the snow. I live at the bottom of a hill & I need to be able to get out in the snow.

The new 2011 on JGC is refered to as WK2. QT I is excellent in snow. But the tires, well that's open to debate.

4th is running the stock 18" wheels with Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo II tires. Not sure of his size but If not mistaken he went for a larger size than the stock 265/60R18
